Failsafe is an organizational change management methodology based on an extension of the risk management process. Why risk management? Because every change has some elements of risk involved. We believe that if you can effectively and proactively manage and mitigate the impacts of the risks associated with change you can effectively make changes within your organization and avoid any detrimental impacts.
Failsafe Identifies the impacts on each functional department within an organization and rates the positive and negative risks and associated impacts. Depending on the impacts rating (very low to very high) a determination is made for formal proactive and reactive mitigation prior to enacting the change to control the change delta (from start of change to recovery of lost productivity because of enacting the change). Applying Failsafe significantly improves the chance of change success and is the only Change Management methodology to consider external risks.
